The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) is partnering with CSIRO to boost girls’ interest in digital technologies education.

Experts advancing solutions for real world problems have been sharing their knowledge with Australia’s teenage top scorers in the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C).

Winning ideas in this year’s Australian STEM Video Game Challenge included a lone spaceship protecting Earth from shooting stars, a solar-powered city built on a sphere around the sun and interstellar golf.

Australia is not the only country that seeks a lot from its tertiary sector. The challenge for all countries is to find a way to achieve a multitude of goals, including increasing access and relevance for a productive society.

ACER India provided technical support to the Sri Aurobindo Society to strengthen its Auro Project-Based Learning Initiative.

ACER UK and Rethinking Assessment have launched an exploratory study looking at the feasibility and benefits of integrating creative thinking into the English national curriculum.
